Bio
Aronia Ann (Hughes) Psencik, 82, of New Waverly, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Aronia was born in Henderson, Texas on May 5, 1936, the daughter of William George Hughes and Mary Magdalene (Redding) Hughes. She married James Alvin Psencik on September 12, 1958. Aronia and Jim managed a grocery store and she worked as an elevator operator early in her career. She was a hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, hunting and boating. Aronia spent her lifetime as a homemaker and taking care of her family. She is survived by two sons: Charles William Allen, Jr. of Houston, TX; Arthur Ray Allen of Union Grove, AL; daughter, Debra Ann Phillips of Sealy, TX; sister, Mary Catherine Crossman of New Waverly, TX; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James A. Psencik and sister, Scharleen Hughes. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at La Grange City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, 208 W. Pearl, La Grange, Texas.
