Janie Sue Wallace Copeland, age 82 , of Hokes Bluff, Alabama passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Janie loved life. She loved visiting with family and friends., especially the class of 1954 at Gadsden High School, the class reunions and the Golden Tiger Reunions. She loved singing from the time she was old enough to sing. Singing from the tree tops; literally, she climbed the trees in her neighborhood and sang “to the top of her lungs.” Neighbors would hear her outside singing and would look up in the trees and there she would be, she loved singing in the choir at the church, many weddings, city-wide musicals, and the Goodyear chorus. She was a long-time member of East Gadsden Baptist Church, and current member of MeadowBrook Baptist Church. Janie was preceded in death by husband Rob Copeland; parents, former Gadsden Mayor Roy L. Wallace Sr. and Ruth Hannah Marker Wallace; brother Johnny Wallace and sister Mary Ruth Albright; step-granddaughter Allison Copeland Kraig. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, daughters and sons-in-law, step-son and step daughter-in-law, Grandchildren, step-grandson, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, Brother and sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service was November 12, 2018 at 2pm at Collier-Butler Chapel. Burial followed at Crestwood Cemetery.
