Louise Call Received Military honors Louise Call (nee Dusek) 73, of Lorain, died Thursday at her home after a long illness. Born in Shriner, Texas, she had lived in Lorain since 1952, moving there from San Antonio. During World War II, she was a licensed practical nurse in the 91st WAAC Hospital Company. She received the American Theater Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Victory Ribbon and the WAAC Ribbon. She was a surgical nurse at EMH Regional medical center for 27 years, retiring in 1982. Mrs. Call is a member of St. John Catholic Church in Lorain and the Czechoslovakian Society of America. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Jesse F.; daughter Patricia Ann Bulloch of Elyria, Nancy Louise Mishak of Amherst, and Susan Marie Smith of Brownhelm Township; eight grandchildren; a brother, John and sisters Justine Svoboda, Lillie Chunda, Beatrice Vineck and Agnes Craft, all of Shriner Texas. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Church, with the Rev. Thomas V. Rath, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
