Joe Allen Polasek, 77, of Cross Junction, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Polasek was born in 1941 in Wharton, Texas, the son of the late Theo and Agnes Polasek. He graduated from Purdue University, earning a Master’s degree in Economics. Mr. Polasek was a budget analyst for Homeland Security. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Wharton, Texas. Mr. Polasek enjoyed sport fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Polasek loved his house at the lake; enjoying time on the boat and always trying to make everyone happy…always making things better for everybody. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Winchester, Virginia. He married Mary Ann Sheehy on July 1, 1978 in Washington, D.C. Surviving with his wife of 40 years is a daughter, Jennifer Polanco (Juan) and a son, Joseph Polasek; grandchildren, Liliana and Emma Polanco; sister, Agnes Foster (Logene); brother, Theo Polasek (Mary Ann) and sister-in-law, Emily Polasek. Along with his parents, Mr. Polasek was preceded in death by a brother, John Polasek. A funeral mass will be conducted at a later date in Texas. Omps Funeral Home
