Wiley Doyle Jordan, 83, of Blanchard, died Friday, November 2, 2018, in Norman. The son of Emra Everett Jordan and Anna Lucille (Branch) Jordan, he was born September 24, 1935, in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Wiley was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Potter, and was Baptist in faith. He married Barbara Gail Davis on August 18, 1978 in Durant, Oklahoma. He worked as a carpenter for the University of Oklahoma and retired in 1998 after 17 years of service. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. Wiley enjoyed raising cattle on his farm and tending to his garden. In his spare time, Wiley also enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, noodling, and bowling. His favorite pastime was going to the Crossroads Farm and Garden to play dominoes and visit with all of his friends. Wiley enjoyed going to all of his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events and was a big OU fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Everett “Bo” Jordan, an infant grandson, Baby Boy Powers; and an infant great grandson, Grizzly Akerman. Wiley is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Jordan of Blanchard; five daughters, Dawn Jordan of Norman, Tammy Faye House and husband, Bill, of Chickasha, Tammara Powers of Norman, Robin Lynn Jordan of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Niki Bradley and husband, Thomas, of Oklahoma City; two sons, Joe Jordan and wife, Kim, of Blanchard, and Marc Jordan of Blanchard; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Rocky and husband, Thomas, of Olathe, Kansas; one brother, Gary Jordan and wife, Wanda, of Blanchard; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial with military honors will follow in the Dibble Cemetery.
