Alexander Polk "Pat" Lum was born on the 8th Nov 1850 in Liberty Co, Texas. He was the 2nd known son of his father Jesse Daniel Lum Jr, a lawyer and the 1st known child of his mother Lucinda Everett who was about 21 years old when he was born. His father had one known child Emmit Jackson Lum with unknown 1st wife. His siblings born by second wife were:(2)Levicy Lum 1852-1852, (3)Virginia Elizabeth "Lizzie" Lum Linney 1854-1946,(4) Infant Lum 1856,(5) Martha Lavenia "Mattie" Lum Unsworth 1858-1946, (6)Ada Viola Jessie Lum Tanner 1862-1957, (7)Sophia Lee Lum LaCour 1864-1937, (8)William Everett Lum 1867-1913, (9)Lela Riley Lum 1870-1960. Alexander P Lum married his first wife Virginia Matthius (Matthews)(born 1859 & died 1879) on 20th Oct 1877 in St Landry Parish, Louisiana. They had one son, Edward D Lum (1879-1955). On 29th Sept 1886 A P Lum married the second time to Lizzie Rook in Liberty, Liberty Co, Texas.
