Rural Glenvil resident, Richard “Dick” L. Franssen, MD, 73 passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his home. Dick’s wishes were to be cremated with no services. Dick was born July 5, 1945 in Burwell, NE to Lawrence and Dorothy (Boag) Franssen. He married Anita Burnham on August 3, 1974 in Kingsley, IA. He is survived by his wife, Anita, of Glenvil, three sons, Aaron (Kathrin) Franssen, of Pleasant Dale, NE, Andrew (Jessie) Franssen of Tonganoxie, KS and Nathan Franssen of Albuquerque, NM and one daughter, Courtney (Michi) Tobler of Wamego, KS, four granddaughters, Elise and Miriam Franssen of Pleasant Dale, NE and Julia and Jana Tobler of Wamego, KS, one sister, Bonnie (Dean) Heimes of Lee’s Summit, MO, two brothers, Lonnie (Mershon) Franssen of Amelia, NE and Gary (Marty) Franssen of Cape Coral, FL and many nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents and one niece.
