The Porterville Recorder Porterville, California March 31, 2004 James D. Lusk, a resident of Cayucos, died there March 19, 2004. He was 78. Mr. Lusk was a resident of Cayucos, previously of Porterville and Honolulu. He was a Navy photographer in World War II and owned and operated photography studios in Porterville and Visalia. He was named Porterville Union High School man of the year and was moderator for the congregational church. He was chairman of the planning commission and a director of the West Coast School/Brooks Institute of Photography. He was a member of Rotary clubs of Porterville and Honolulu, where he was president. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Partners of the Central Coast, 277 South St., San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. Reis Family Mortuary in Cayucos is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Janice; his daughters, Candice and Suzi; and two grandchildren.
