Bio
Bernice Otwell, of De Leon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was born November 11, 1923, in Comanche County to Levi Coan and Maggie Solley Coan. Bernice married Delbert Otwell February 8, 1941, in De Leon. Bernice was a woman of God and she was faithful to her church, The Assembly of God. She was loyal to pray over her prayer list daily and was devoted to reading Scripture. Bernice was a loving homemaker for her family and worked alongside Delbert on their family farm. She really enjoyed raising cattle. Bernice had many hobbies including shopping, cooking and listening to Gospel music. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Lee Otwell and wife, Esther, and Ken Otwell and wife, Norma; daughter, Adonna Otwell; grandchildren, Derek Otwell, Nathan Otwell, Philip Otwell and Daron Otwell; great-grandchildren, Andrew Otwell, Daisy Otwell, Jenna Otwell, Jessica Otwell, Canaan Otwell , Olivia Otwell, Miles Otwell, Levi Otwell and Jonas Otwell; brother, Doyle Oneal and wife, Peggy; and other nieces, nephews and extended family. Bernice has gone home to join her husband, Delbert, and family.
