Bio
Donald Ray Kasper was born November 3, 1947 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Richard Carl and Bertha Louise Kilian Kasper. He was raised in Port Arthur, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965. Donnie attended Panola Junior College where he played baseball and earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business. He later attended Stephen F. Austin State University. He married Elizabeth Jones in 967 and they celebrated 46 years together. Donnie worked for 25 years for Drew Woods and later owned Carthage Sheet Metal for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing with his grandkids and watching them play the many sports they were involved in. Donnie was a loving husband, father and “G-Daddy” to his grandchildren and a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Carthage. He is preceded in death by his parents.
