Funeral services for Mr. Isaac Crist, 78, a former Arcadian, were held Thursday, May 7th, at Escondido. Calif. Mr. Crist suffered a stroke Sunday, May 3rd, and passed away the following day in a hospital at San Diego, Calif. Isaac Crist, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Crist, was born on June 12, 1881, on a farm on Clear Creek, southwest of Arcadia and grew to manhood in that vicinity. In 1909 he married Maude Roach, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Roach of Westerville and to that union seven children were born, one dying in infancy. Mr. Crist farmed southwest of Arcadia and east of Westerville for many years. After the death of his wife in 1935 he moved to San Marcos, Calif., and later to Escondido, Calif., where he spent the last 22 years of his life. Surviving are three son, Loren of Chico. Calif., Dwayne of Escondido, Calif., and Eugene of Carlsbad, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Micket and Mrs. Darlene Brown, both of Escondido, and Mrs. Lyle Hickenbottom of Oceanside, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren; one brother,Oscar Crist of Loup City, Nebr., and two sisters Mrs. John Bray and Mrs. Aimee Carmody, both of Arcadia, Nebr.
