James Alvin Mosley 1928-2017 Memorial services for James Alvin Mosley, 89, of Athens were held Friday, May 26, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. Graveside services followed at Old Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Mosley passed away May 24, 2017, in Tyler. He was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Dallas to Dewey and Rachel Crouch Mosley. He served in the Korean War and was proud of his military service. He liked working on cars and racing them. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dollie Mosley; stepdaughter, Dotti Fisher; great- granddaughter, Kaylie Mosley; and sister, Tresy Katrine. He is survived by his sons, Robert Mosley, James Dewey and Debra Mosley; daughters, Sharon G. Mosley and Patricia and Jimmy Dowdy; stepson, Billy Frank and Patty Smith; 15 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
