Franklin D. Vetick Sr., 84, of Grand Island passed away peacefully at Tiffany Square on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM, Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with The Pastor Jay Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Saint Lawrence Cemetery near Silver Creek, NE. He was born on June 23, 1934 in Nance County to Edmond and Sophie (Kush) Vetick. He grew up in Silver Creek, Nance county, and Merrick county. He was united in marriage to Charlene Carman. After which the couple lived in Silver Creek and Grand Island. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He is survived by four sons, John (Kathleen) Vetick, of Polk City, IA, Franklin (Colleen) Vetick Jr, of Columbus, Edward (Julie) Vetick, of Des Moines, IA, Michael (Sonya) Vetick, of Kearney; six daughters, Rhonda (David) Evans, of Lincoln, Corrine (Clayton) Erickson, of Central City, Francine (Bruce) Dolezal, of Chadron, Tamera (Mark) Sindelar, of Lincoln, Rochelle (Jim) Dewispelare, of Columbus, Crystal Hubbard, of Lincoln; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary (Virgil) Lassek, of Columbus; brother, Martin Vetick, of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Sheila Vetick. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
