Gerald S. Holmes, 81, of Talco, passed away on October 9, 2018 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He was born on January 24, 1937 in Hagansport, Texas to Morris and Rosa Holmes. He is survived by his wife, Jane Kelley Holmes; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Tony Perez; grandchildren, Jessica and Benny Davenport, and John Perez; 4 great grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Nell Tinsley. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Don Holmes. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Talco Cemetery.
