Bio
Jerry R. Prikryl, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 30, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Bellmead, with the Rev. Matthew Hardaway officiating. A viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 29, at Bellmead Funeral Home. Jerry was born December 15, 1927, in Penelope, Texas, the son of R.J. and Nora (Straminska) Prikryl. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. Jerry retired from General Tire in 1984 after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin daughters; brother, Gilbert Prikryl and nephew, Lance Prikryl. Survivors include his wife, Frances N. Prikryl; sons, David Prikryl and wife, Karen, and Dale Prikryl; brothers, Thomas Prikryl and wife, Ann, and Patrick Prikryl and wife, Brenda; sister-in-law, Florine Reinke; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1301 Hogan Lane, Waco, Texas 76705.
