Bio

Joseph "Joe" H. Estes, 98, of Fayetteville died on Thursday, September 20, 2018. He was born on January 13, 1920 in Luthersville, GA to Mary and Atley Estes. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed by Norfolk Southern Corporation in Roanoke, VA, in the Law Department for 38 years until his retirement in 1985. He received his Bachelor and Master of Laws from Atlanta Law School. Joe was very active in the Gideon International for over 50 years. He was active and involved in the Azalea Estates Assisted Living Community for the last 8 years. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Foster Estes
