August 11, 1927 - September 26, 2018 Joe F. O'Donnell, 91, of Lincoln, went to his heavenly home on September 26, 2018. Born August 11, 1927, in Long Pine, to John and Gertrude (Alderman) O'Donnell. Joe's family moved to Lincoln in 1941 where Joe met the love of his life, Sophie Rose Foral, in 1944. They were married September 16, 1947. In 1948 – 1950, Joe served in the Nebraska Army National Guard 34th Infantry Division. From 1950-1988 he owned and operated several service stations in Lincoln before retiring in January 2013 as a Tri-State Company representative. Both Sophie and Joe were charter members of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church. Joe leaves behind his sons Patrick and Mike (Margitta) and daughter Nancy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Sophie; his parents; brothers Jim and Jack and sister Thetis.
