Married 1970 Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette, for Carol Ann Burris Boudreaux, age 69, who died on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at her residence in Lafayette, surrounded by her family. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles D. Boudreaux; her children, Mark Boudreaux and wife, Laurie, Carrie B. Hollier and husband, Chad, and Travis Boudreaux and wife, Natalie; her seven grandchildren, Kevin, Amber, and Peyton Boudreaux, Ayson Hollier, Eva, Trey, and Thomas Joseph "T.J." Boudreaux; her brother, Dr. Garrett Burris and wife, Peggy; and her cousin, Vicki Foreman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Burris and Bertha Ann Foreman Burris; and her siblings, Walter Burris, Jenny Burris Blake and Gregory Burris. Carol Ann Burris Boudreaux was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Carol Ann was a talented dancer and passionate about sharing her love of dance with others. She taught at Gertrude LeBlanc's Dance Academy for 14 years, where she was the assistant director and member of LADM, DMA, DEA, STADT, Dixie Chapter DMA, and LPDA. She was deeply loved in the dance community. Up until her illness, she taught, choreographed, and performed in dance revues. Carol Ann worked as a legal assistant for 10 years, in the Attorney General's office for 7 years, and was the judicial assistant to Judge Rebecca Doherty for 12 years, where she retired. Dedicated, trustworthy, and highly-respected, Carol Ann was often regarded as irreplaceable and received the Civic Service Award. Carol Ann was a woman of grace and class. Soft-hearted and selfless, she would often sacrifice her time and energy for others. Even through her sickness, she attended all of her grandchildren's sports and special events. Carol Ann was a faithful and loyal wife to Charles. Together, they enjoyed gardening, growing fresh vegetables and beautiful roses. She was an impressive chef/baker and her cooking was exceptional. She loved her children/grandchildren unconditionally and was always there to support them. She was active in their schooling, serving as PTA President. Carol Ann's beautiful heart and dedication to others will never be forgotten. She was a true servant of God.
