Bio

Lucy (Robinett) Lindsey, 75, died Wednesday May 27th in Amherst, Texas. She was the fifth child of Marshall B. and Susan (Kemp) Robinett. Lucy married William Wyatt "Bill" Lindsey Nov 30, 1913, in McLennan County. Bill and Lucy farmed in Coryell County until they moved to Levelland in 1937. Shortly after Bill's death in 1968, she moved to Amherst to be near daughters Sudell and Lataine. Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sons, an infant boy and Willie Matt Lindsey. She is survived by three daughters, Susie Lindsey, Mrs. Lataine Berry and Mrs. Marjorie Lazzeri; a son, James Lindsey; three brothers, Gus Robinett, Dale Robinett and Short Robinett; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Wood and Mrs. Bert Mitchell; seven grandchildren and six great-children. The funeral was held at First Baptist Church of Amherst with Rev. Clayton Pennington of Levelland officiating along with Rev. Glenn Wilson. Arrangements were under the direction of Payne Funeral Home. Burial was at Littlefield Cemetery.
