Bio
Martha Newsom Bundy of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 21, 2017, at the age of 86. Martha was born January 9, 1931, to Claborn and Etha Newsom in Brownwood, Texas. She grew up in Brownwood and Bangs, Texas. Martha spent some time in Arlington, Texas, prior to moving to McKinney in 1972. She married Jim Bundy on May 22, 1970. They were married for forty-six years prior to Jim's passing last year. Martha and her husband, Jim, owned and operated Bundy Nursery and Gifts in McKinney for many years. She loved flowers and creating floral arrangements for friends and customers. Martha also enjoyed researching family genealogy and was an active member of the Collin County Preservation Group and Historical Society for many years. Jim and Martha were long time members of High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney. Martha is survived by her son, Ronny Bundy and wife, Suzie, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Lynda Carole Bundy and husband, Henry Braden, of Temple, Texas; granddaughter, Julia Harvey of Austin, Texas; son-in-law, Kim Groves of McKinney, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Bundy; daughter; Beverly Groves; brothers, HC Newsom and Joe Newsom; and sisters, Doris Chandler and Norma Pollard.
