Born August 18, 1888, Nephi, to Monroe F. and Sarah Johnson Whiting. Married Anna Lena Nelson March 5, 1924, Salt Lake City. Survivors: widow, Nephi; sons, daughters: Delos, Bud, Blaine, Raymond, Nephi; Norman, Ft. Ord, California; Oris, Centerville, Davis County; Merle, Salt Lake City; Glen, Clearfield; Mrs. Dewey (Delores) Hanks, Orem; 11 grandchildren; sisters, brother: Mrs. Myrtle Hardy, North Hollywood, California; Mrs. May Christensen, Price; Mrs. Hazel Gillispie, Salt Lake City; Parley Whiting.
