Bio

Ruby Braley, 76, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday June 24, 2015 at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Aleman with Glynn Tyson officiating. Ruby was born September 24, 1938 in Hamilton, Texas, the daughter of Ernest and Ottilie Sommerfeld. She attended school at Aleman where she played volleyball and basketball. Ruby retired in 1996 from Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX. She loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, crossword puzzles, scratch offs, and especially family gatherings. She was never happier than when surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Ottilie Sommerfeld, sister Dorothy Hardin, brother Milton Sommerfeld, and sister Darlene Brown. Survivors include her sister Erna Haase and husband Paul of Jonesboro; daughter ~ Kelly Darter and husband Todd of Quinlan, son ~ Steven Braley and wife Laura of Rockwall; grandchildren ~ Casie, Stephanie, Ocean, Eric, Elijah, Luke, and Summer; also numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews and friends. Pallbearers: Steven Braley, Eric Braley, Todd Darter, Randel Hardin, Paul Wade Haase, Mike Akers, Chris Niemann, and Billy Andrews
