Robert LeRoy Kluge Obituary Robert LeRoy Kluge, 79, was called home by his Heavenly Father June 27, 1999 in Salt Lake City, surrounded by his loving family. Born August 1, 1919, in Salt Lake City to Roy Edmond Kluge and Edith Irene Barrett. He was raised by his father's second wife, Evelyn Ellerman Kluge, whom he loved dearly. He regarded her as his mother. He attended school in Salt Lake City, graduating from West High School in 1937, where he was active in athletics and played on the football team. Bob was inducted into the Army April 12, 1944 during World War II and served in the maintenance corps as a sheet metal worker and test tank driver. He retired from American Oil in 1974 where he was an ultra former technician. Bob married Ann Clark February 8, 1947 in Alpine, Utah. Sealed in Salt Lake LDS Temple Oct. 4, 1948. He was a faithful member of the LDS church, holding the office of High Priest. He served in many positions, his favorite was working in the members' records location dept. He had many talents, his family loved the drawings he made for special occasions. His nieces and nephews looked forward to family parties where Uncle Bob took them in a room for games and stories about themselves. He enjoyed the out of doors and going fishing with family and friends. He was a kind and loving husband and father.He is survived by his wife, Ann: son, Randall L.(Gina) Kluge, West Valley City; daughter, ReNae (Daniel) Oeser, West Jordan: six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, Jerry (Harold) Gunn, Highland; many in-laws, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, and sister, Jean Chase. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Anderson and Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call that morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial in Alpine Cemetery.
