Charlie Joseph Mazoch, Jr. Charlie Joseph Mazoch, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Webster, Texas at the age of 76. He was born on October 25, 1941 in Fayette County, Texas to Charlie and Annie (Korenek) Mazoch. At age sixteen, Charlie went to work on drilling rigs. Charlie enlisted in the United States Navy and on March 13, 1961 he was in boot camp in San Diego, California. He transferred to VFAW-3, a naval aviation squadron. He went to Key West, Florida during the Cuban Missile Blockaide. During the Vietnam War, he served on the USS Hancock aircraft carrier. His rank was aviation electronics technician (navigation) petty officer third class. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on March 13, 1967. After the Navy, he worked at Texas Instruments. Later, he worked as a heavy machine mechanic and a commercial electrician. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Annie Mazoch. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, two sisters, Annie Baresh and Margie McGowen, one brother, Bobby Mazoch and step-daughter, Sandra Sissom and her husband Jimmy Sissom. Surviving grandchildren are Brittany Sissom, Clayton Sissom, Karen Staton, Rachel Sissom and Ty Sissom. Surviving great grandchildren are Cheyanne, Daxton, Bethany, Chesnee and Cody. Charlie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas between 5 to 9 P.M. with a rosary at 7 P.M.. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573. A Grave Side Ceremony will follow the Funeral on September 18, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at Sts Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Dubina, Texas. Crowder Funeral Homes
