Bio
Joyce Dewbre McCord, longtime Commerce resident, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018. Joyce was born on June 27, 1935, the daughter of Alvy Doc Dewbre and Thelma Bowden Dewbre. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Commerce. A committal service will take place Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Eubanks Cemetery in Canton. Joyce is survived by her sisters, Ruth Green of Comanche, TX and Mary Fern McKibben of Lubbock, TX. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, as well as a multitude of dear friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and devoted and loving husband, Dr. Kenneth McCord. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the memorial of your choice.
