Agnes Nadine Ellzey, 87, of Seminary, Mississippi, died Tuesday September 11 2018 at her residence in Seminary, Mississippi. She was born Sunday, July 12, 1931 in Soso, Mississippi. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Riverside Baptist Church in Ellisville, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Riverside Baptist Church and the Burial will follow in Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Medrick Savell, Bro. Garrick Ellzey, Bro. Glenn Shoemake and Bro. Brent Long will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 477-3797. Nadine went to school in Soso, Mississippi, and graduated as the Salutatorian of her class in 1949. She attended JCJC in Ellisville, Mississippi, for a short time to become an English teacher. She chose to quit college to be with her mother because of her fatal illness. She worked at Dixie Dress Shop in Laurel before she met Wendell and was married. She had seven children and after that she thought that being a mother was her high calling. She loved her children very much and stayed at home to bring them up in the nurture of the Lord. She lived in the Sweetwater Community for the majority of her life. She was a very avid reader and loved to call and write letters to her friends. Nadine was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher for the youth for several years. She cared for the soul of everyone. She always wanted her family, friends, and neighbors to accept Jesus as their Savior and to attend church. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Wendell Ellzey; father, William Harris Murray; mother, Myrtle Sullivan Murray; step-mother, Beatrice (Bea) Murray; granddaughter, Hannah Ellzey. Survivors include daughter, Janice Williams (J.C.); son, Michael Ellzey; daughter, Annette Cook (Bob); daughter, Denise Westbrook (Charlie); son, Timothy Ellzey; son, Steven Ellzey (Patrice); son, James Clinton Ellzey; 20 grand children,; 21 great grand children and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Johnathan Williams, Nathan Westbrook, Jerrett Williams, Josh Ellzey, Chad Ellzey, Jacob Ellzey, Brad Ellzey, Clint Ellzey, Murray Cook, Ryan Ellzey, Wesley Cook, Benjamin Ellzey and Brad Blue.
