Sister Alexia Vinklarek, CDP, entered eternal life on September 9, 2018. She was one of ten children born to Alex and Frances (Mares) Vinklarek. Baptized Veronica Frances, she was born September 3, 1925 in Cistern, Texas. She professed first vows on June 22, 1946. Grace, gentleness, poise, accuracy and elegance characterized her ministerial life: teacher (in Texas and Oklahoma), principal (in Texas), Moye Retreat Center Coordinator (in Castroville, Texas), Congregational Vocation Director, Director of the Holy Childhood Mission Office (at the Archdiocese of San Antonio), Director of Religious Education (in Texas and Oklahoma), and Wedding Coordinator for the Congregation's Sacred Heart Chapel.
