Bio

Son of Onesime and Eliza Savoie Fruge/Fregia. His death certificate incorrectly states he was born in 1880 but records his age as 86 at the time of his death. His birth date is recorded in Southwest Louisiana Records (1750-1900), Volume 4, Page 301, Opelousas Chapter, compiled by Rev. Donald J. Hebert. His name was recorded as "Frosin Fruge." In the 1850 census records, his parents recorded his name as Onesime Fruge.
