Sally Christine Bennett, 83, of 212 Humbird Street, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital. Born in Broadway, Va., she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca (Crist) Crist. Surviving are her husband, William Roy Bennett; a son, Howard W. McCarty, city; a stepson, Clifford C. Bennett, city; a daughter, Mrs. Anna R. Knippenberg, city; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hilda O. Hovermill, city; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Parker and Mrs. Susan Maiers, both this city; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Published in the Cumberland Evening Times 9/16/1970
