Bio

Alice Ellsworth, 90, Durant, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 1996, at home. Services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to American Red Cross or Salvation Army in Davenport. The former Alice Hannah was born Dec. 17, 1905, in Union Mills, Ind., the daughter of Robert R. and Mary M. Hanes Hannah. She married Harvey Ellsworth April 28, 1934, in Peoria. He died in 1983. She enjoyed flowers. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Vernon Riexinger, of Missouri, Betty and Mel Dirksen and Sandra and Leonard Dick, all of Bettendorf, and Lois and Harry Ritter, Fairport, Iowa; sons, Jim Ellsworth, Monument, Colo., Robert Ellsworth and William Ellsworth, both of Durant, Iowa, and Richard Ellsworth, Denver, Iowa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
