Mattielene Stoffregen of Oneonta, AL., passed away on January 29, 2018 at the age of 90. Mrs. Stoffregen worked as the Owner/Office Manager of Blount County Tractor for 25 years. She was a member of Mountain Pointe Ministries Church. Her family was her life and she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are parents, Dewey and Princey Harvey Gargus; husband, Winfred A. Stoffregen; brothers, J.B. Gargus and Alton Gargus; sister, Betty Murphree. Survivors include sons, Allen Stoffregen (Mary Charles) and Freddie Stoffregen all of Oneonta; grandchildren, Melinda Anderton (Steve), Cindy Thomas (David), Lisa Wester (Jimmy) all of Oneonta and Adam Stoffregen (Maggie) of Vestavia; great grandchildren, Anne-Marie Wester, Bailey Anderton, Alexa Wester, Dawson Thomas, Chaney Anderton, Macy Stoffregen, Lois Ann Wester and Wynn Stoffregen; brother, Birl Gargus (Pat) of Oneonta; sisters, Edell Warren of Florida, Evalee Phillips (Oneonta) and Marilyn Kennedy of Birmingham. Bro. Charles Martin, Adam Stoffregen and Steve Anderton will officiate funeral services on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from the Chapel of Lemley Funeral Home with burial following at Antioch Cemetery. Mrs. Stoffregen will lie in state on Saturday from 11AM until service time. Pallbearers: Jim Wester, David Thomas, Steve Anderton, Jerry Hill, Tom Ryan and Adam Stoffregen.
