Bio

James C. Wilson of Mexia, a retiree of John E. Mitchell Gin died Saturday in a Mexia hospital. He was 77. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. today at the Prairie Hill Cemetery, the Rev. Jerald Alexander officiating. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Limestone County. He lived most of his life in Garland but resided last five years in Mexia. Mr. Wilson worked 40 years for the John E. Mitchell Gin Co. before his retirement. Survivors include three brothers, Frank Wilson of Coolidge, Otis Wilson of Chicago and Clinton Wilson of Louisville, Ky.
