Bio
Alfred William Podsednik was called to join our Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the age of 95. Fred was born on July 26, 1911 in Tours, Texas, the youngest son of John and Albina Podsednik. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Frances Molly Podsednik of Grand Prairie. He is also survived by his 3 children, Alfred Joseph Podsednik and wife, Joan of Springhill, Kansas, Katherine Frances Arens of Ft. Worth, Texas and John Paul Podsednik of Campbell, Texas; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister and one granddaughter. Fred was an avid gardener, skilled craftsman, devoted husband and loving father and grandfather. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie for 65 years. A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie. A Mass in celebration of Fred's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Fred touched the lives of many and he will be missed by all who knew him.
