Bio

Patrick E. Wallace, “Eddie”, of Pointe Vista Drive, Elizabeth City, NC died peacefully at his home on August 1, 2018. Born in Washington, DC on November 26, 1943 to the late Marion Edward Wallace and Augusta Louise Woodall Wallace, he was the beloved husband of Amie Powell Wallace of Elizabeth City. Eddie was the owner of an underground utility installation subcontracting business, a hard worker, and a self-made man who served in the Army Reserves. He was a Christian, loved his daughters and dogs, and enjoyed boating, traveling, gambling, and Elvis. He lived life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone he met. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Kristen (Dean) Pybus of Aldie, VA, Karen (Derek) Petersburg of Burke, VA, and Patricia (Ian) Rider of Aviano, Italy; one sister, Judy (Jim) Vest; three grandchildren, Andrew Pybus, Jaxon Petersburg, and Lukas Pybus; and his beloved dogs, Casey and Sammy. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Towne South Church of Christ with Minister Brad Giffin officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church. There will be a celebration of life at Big Daddy’s Pizza following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Towne South Church of Christ, 2224 Peartree Road, Elizabeth City, NC in memory of Eddie. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 E.
