Wilson County Citizen (Fredonia, Kansas) ~ Friday, 30 Jan 1920 Huldah Elizabeth Nichols was born in Putnam County, Ohio, April 22, 1861, and died at her home in Fredonia, January 26, 1920. She married Henry Clay Wright at Russelville, Arkansas, August 28, 1878. They came to Kansas in August, 1879. There were born to Mr. and Mrs. Wright eight children, three boys and five girls. One girl died in infancy, the other seven children are still living: Amos J. Wright, Wichita; Richard F. Wright, Claremore, Oklahoma; Henry Clay, Jr., Independence, Kansas; Mrs. Roy Brown, Fredonia; Mrs. May Miller, Claremore, Oklahoma; Mrs. Laura Scott, Fredonia; and Mrs. Dora Belle Meyer, Kansas City, Missouri. Two brothers, A. B. and J. W. Nichols, of Arkansas, one sister, Mrs. John L. Blass, Fredonia, and thirteen grandchildren are living. Mrs. Wright united with the Presbyterian Church of Fredonia, February 2, 1908, of which she was a consistent member to the time of her death. Funeral service was conducted from the Wright home on Thirteenth Street, January 27, at 2:30 p.m., by her pastor, Rev. R. Enos Fleming. Interment was in the Fredonia Cemetery.
