Obituary shared by fellow ancestry.com member - no newspaper name: Dated 2 Apr 1955, Charlotte, MI: Alfred I. Root, 67, died Friday in a Charlotte convalescent home after a short illness. Surviving are seven daughters: Mrs. Beatrice Lenhart of Mulliken; Mrs. Nina Glar; Mrs. Katherine Satterlee; Mrs. Luella Robinson; and Mrs. Etta Hale; all of Charlotte; Mrs. Virginia Weaver of Lansing; and Mrs. Esther Fogle of Sodus; and one son, Leonard Root of Mulliken; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2pm in the Barker funerl home. Rev. H. B. Loomis of Charlotte Congregational church officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
