Bio

Sarah was the daughter of William Reeves Sherman and his wife Martha Spragins. Her mother died in 1862 when Sarah was just 2. Her father remarried to Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Ash, who raised her. Her father had seven total children of which Sarah was the 2nd oldest, two by Martha and five by Betsy. She married George Washington Martin on 24 Mar 1878, in McDonald County, Missouri. George Washington Martin was born on 12 Jul 1858, in Buffalo, Newton County, Missouri, and died on 06 Oct 1937 in Anderson, McDonald, Missouri, USA. He was the son of James Martin, DOB 1823 and his wife Emeline Waters, DOB 1824, both of Davidson County,Tennessee. George was the youngest of 7 children born to his parents union. George and Sarah had nine children: Josephine D "Josie" William John Henry Effie Lee Charles T Bertha May (died at age 6) Florence Lorena Vernon A Frederick Edward "Fred"
