John J. Hentges, Jr of Columbus died Friday July 13, 2018 at Brookestone Acres. John J. Hentges, Jr was born November 30, 1932 in Columbus to John Sr. and Josephine (Coupens) Hentges. He graduated from St. Bonaventure high school in 1952. John served in the US Army from 1953-1954 during the Korean War. After serving in the Army, he returned to Columbus. He was united in marriage to Darlene Bollig on February 8, 1958 at St. Bonaventure Church. John worked for Becton Dickinson, Behlen MFG, and for the US Postal Service before retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
