HELEN CARL, 65, DIES IN OKLAHOMA Services for Helen Carl, 65, of Bethany, Okla., were held June 21 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Edmond, Okla. Mrs. Carl died June 18, 1994, at her home. The daughter of Frank and Helen (Pojar) Wiese, she was born April 17, 1929, in Stanton County, near St. Henry's, rural Howells. She moved with her family to a farm south of Dodge and graduated from Dodge High School in 1947. Helen Wiese and John Carl of Geneva were married in June 1952. They lived in Omaha before transferring to Oklahoma City in 1970. Survivors include her husband, John; three daughters, Mary and Joe Males of Edmond, Okla., Kathy and Dr. Gary Kindell, Cleveland, Ohio, Laurie and Victory Purdy of Windsor, Colo.; and a son, Rev. John Carl of Norman, Okla.; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Wiese, Lincoln, Francis Wiese, Omaha, Maurice Wiese, Moscow, Idaho; and a sister, Mildred Best, Hill City, S.D. Preceding her in death was a sister, Irene Kenney. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery. Published in The Schuyler Sun, Columbus, Nebraska, Thursday, July 7, 1994, Page 18.
