Bio

Emil Julius Juranek, 88, of Nada, formerly of El Campo, passed away July 10, 2018. He was born on July 27, 1929 in Robstown, TX to the late John and Bessie Cunda Juranek. Emil served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After he retired from farming he enjoyed the love of his life, his grandchildren. Emil was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene Michaelsen Juranek; brothers, Frank, Joe, John and William Juranek and sisters, Martha Matula, Christine Higgins, Annie Southhall and an infant child. Visitation begins 5 p.m. Friday, July 13 at Triska Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass begins 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada with Rev. Peter Yeboah-Amanfo officiating. Entombment under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251 will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681
