Leroy Edmund Hiebel, of Splendora. Age 64. Died on Tuesday, August 1, 1989, at his home. Services held on Thursday at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Houston, and on Friday at Condra Memorial Chapel, Taylor. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery, with the Rev. F. T. Sager officiating. He was born on September 6, 1924 in Thorndale, to Edmund Reinhold and Carrie Caroline Louisa Schwenker Hiebel. He was manager of used car sales and member of the above church in Houston. Survivors include his wife, Pat Hiebel of Splendora; parents, Edmund Reinhold and Erna Hiebel of Thorndale; two daughters, Carolyn and her husband, Harold Leggett, and Tammy Jamar of Houston; son, Randy Hiebel of Houston; step-children, Terry Murrell and husband, Bill, Shawn Brooks of Houston, and Stacy Brooks of Splendora; aunt, Mathilda Lieberum of Thorndale; friend, Martha Kovar of Thorndale; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ∼
