Bio
Maude Louise "Loudy" Jolliffe, died Feb. 23, 2005, at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO, 64131. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Loudy was born March 21, 1912, in Mayview, MO, to George F. and Clemintine Edwards. She was a marvelous cook (especially her noodles) who took great pleasure in gathering family around her table. She lived a life of compassion and concern for the well being of others. She had a love of gardening, animals, and working outdoors. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Meyer Boulevard United Methodist Church. In 1937, she married Raymond Jolliffe (1937-1952), and had two sons, David Lee, and Kenneth Dean. She worked at Bendix Corporation and retired after 25 years. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, gardening and treasure hunting at garage sales. She was a big fan of having a cup of coffee and watching the sun rise. Loudy leaves a legacy of love through family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jolliffe; son David Lee Jolliffe; great-grandson, Anthony Dale Jolliffe; brothers, George Leslie Edwards, Floyd Earl Edwards, and a sister, Viola May Edwards. She is survived by a brother, Lloyd Francis Edwards; sisters, Della Ruth McConaha, and Dorothy Allene Hankins; son, Kenneth Dean Jolliffe; grandchildren, Paul David Jolliffe, Stacy Renee Miller, and Ian Michael Jolliffee; great-grandchildren, Jeffery P. Jolliffee, S. Roth Livingston, and Samuel C. Miller IV; step grandchildren, Jon Kirby, Tara Kirby, Lyn Heldt, and C. Tracy Hymiller. (Arr; Muehlebach Funeral Home 816-4442060).
