Bio
Wife of Thomas Manaugh (1806-1897). Thomas and Cynthia were married on November 20, 1828 in Scott County, Indiana. They were first cousins. They had at least seven children together including: John Harper, Nancy Jane, Cynthia Ann, Thomas Newton, Elizabeth Ellen, James J. and Martha E. Manaugh. Cynthia was the daughter of David Clark and Elizabeth (Manaugh) Clark. Cynthia died after 1885. She was last on the census in 1885 in Washington, Wapello, Iowa. Thomas died in Grundy County, Missouri in 1897. I believe she died sometime between 1885 and 1897 and that she is buried in Wayne County, Iowa with her mother and son and daughter. It appears that her husband went to Grundy County, Missouri with their son sometime after her death. There is a headstone for her daughter here in New York Cemetery and her daughter has the same name, but these are obviously two different people.
