Joseph L. Kaspar, affectionately known as Joe by all his friends and relatives, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2003 in Taylor Texas. Rosary will be recited Saturday, 8:15 PM at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Mass Services are 5 PM, Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Msgr. Lonnie Urban officiating. Burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Joe Kaspar was born September 5, 1932 to Louis J. and Vlasta (Sladek) Kaspar in Taylor, Texas. He was married to Dorothy J. Leshikar Kaspar on January 28, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. This year they joyously celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. He was a member of the K.J.T. and S.P.J.S.T. for many years. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Joe was in the Army stationed in Alaska during the Korean Conflict and received an honorable discharge from the United States of America armed forces on February 28, 1961. Joe's hobbies included going to the deer lease with his brothers-in-law, fishing, working around the house and working on cars. He was an employee of G&S Typesetters in Austin for over thirty seven years. Until his recent hospitalization, he was still dedicated to his work and continued going as much as his health permitted. He was very dedicated to his family and loved them all dearly, all of whom will never forget his kind, loving. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Louis J. Kaspar and his beloved father and mother-in-law, Willie Sr. And Adela Chalupa Leshikar. Serving as Pallbearers will be Dan Kaspar, Jr., Bobby Leshikar, Willie Leshikar III, James Mikulencak, Jim Davis, Joseph Pavlik, David Polasek, and John Germany. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Leshikar Kaspar of Taylor; two sons, Michael J. Kaspar, Ph.D. of Washington, D.C. and Douglas W. Kaspar of Austin; one daughter, Pamela J. Wareham and husband, Kevin of Hutto; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kaspar of Alexandria, Virginia, Julianna and Jessica Davis both of Hutto; two great-grandchildren, Fabian M. Torres and J. Anisa Dail both of Alexandria, Virginia; his mother, Vlasta Kaspar, of Taylor; one brother, Dan Kaspar, Sr. and wife, Ilyn of Taylor; two sisters, Betty Mulsow and Dorothy Fitzgerald both of Taylor. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews whom he all loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Catholic School, 408 Washburn, Taylor, TX 76574 or to American Cancer Society, Tamara Friar, Memorial Chairman, 1701 N.
