GRAPEVINE -- Mary Ann Jones Burns, 86, went home to be with Jesus on June 16, 2018. SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday June 23, First Baptist Church of Grapevine, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas. Mary was born June 15, 1932 in Prairieville to William and Clara Jones. She graduated from Forest Ave High School, then attended St. Paul's School of Nursing in Dallas. After Graduating in 1952, Mary enjoyed a career as an RN for more than 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grapevine. Mary was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of 49 years, Joseph B Burns,Jr. SURVIVORS: Daughters, Martha Fairris, Linda Knight and Husband, John, and Jan O'Daniel and husband, Wayne; sister, Jo Ellen Greenlee and Husband, Frank; 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
