Funeral services for Innocent “Ike” Vasek, 72, of La Grange were set for this Monday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiating and burial in the Fayetteville Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Vasek passed away at his residence Thursday. He was born at Park Sept. 11, 1912, the son of the late Ignac and Paulina (Chovanec) Vasek. He was a retired farmer and was a lifetime resident of Fayette County. He never married. Surviving are three sisters-in-law, Sophie Vasek, Lillie Vasek and Albina Vasek, all of La Grange; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Koenig-Peel Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements. Fayette County Record, La Grange, Texas - July 16, 1985
