Bio

Mattalee Davis, 75, a resident of Irving for 45 years, died on June 4, 2018 at her home. She was born on January 12, 1943 in Marathon, Texas to Hubert Matthew Howard and Daisy Lee (Sweet) Howard. She married Lanny Gordon Davis on August 9, 1962. Mattalee was a homemaker, which she knew from a young age that she wanted to be. She was a quiet woman who adored all children even in her illness. She enjoyed crafts, antiques, decorating and was very creative. She instituted "Make a Kid Happy Day" for her family. She was the ultimate mother and a dutiful daughter to her parents. She was a poet. She is survived by her husband Lanny; children: Bryan Craig Davis of Wautaga, Morgan Davis of Irving, Mae-le Induisi and husband Frank of Davie, Florida, and Phelan Davis of Dallas; grandchildren, Joseph and Kelly of Florida and a sister, B.J. House and husband Dearl of Terrell. Graveside Service: Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 1000 S. Hwy 175, Seagoville, TX. Jeffery House, officiating.
