OKLAHOMA CITY Filer, Isidore Adam Jr., 77, criminal investigator, died June 11. Rosary 7 p.m. Friday, Funeral Home Chapel. Services 10 p.m. Saturday, Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church (Chapel Hill, Oklahoma City). Published in The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, Page 11A. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Isidore Adam Filer Jr. was born October 27, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents Isidor and Frances Filer. Better known as I.A. or "Butch" to friends and family. He was a graduate of the University of Houston, School of Law and was proud to work for the U.S. Treasury Department for 33 years. He was an avid reader, traveler, cyclist, runner, sailor, and knew no stranger. He witnessed the miracle his father never saw, the Astros winning the World Series. From Phi Slama Jama, the Pokes, the America's Cup to the Triple Crown, he loved his sports! His Catholic faith was very important to him as was his family and friends. Butch leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Catherine Ann, "Cathy"; daughter Eileen Whitson and husband Ed; son Keith Filer and wife Shelly; son Karl Pfeiler and wife Alice; grandchildren Julie and Joey Bliss, Tiffany Whitson and fiancé Christopher Hennessy, Brandon and Logan Whitson, Jacob Filer, Ethan and Gracyn Filer; great grandchildren D'Anna Murray, Nevaeh Hennessey, Darnell, Mialynn, SeanWilliams, Brooklyn O'Brien and Monica Hennessy.
