Bio

Elizabeth was the daughter of Francis "Frank" Womack and his 2nd wife, Annie Thornton. She lived with her parents in Smith Co., MS through the July 1860 census. Sometime after July and before December 1860, she married Rankin Kenyon "Little Rank" Royals, most likely in Smith Co., where they both resided. On 24 Apr 1940 while he was living in Sylvarena, their son, Dunkin Pearce Royals ordered Rankin's military tombstone to be shipped to G M & N Railroad Co. at Bay Springs, Jasper Co., MS. The order indicates the tombstone was to be placed in the Leaf River Cemetery. Rankin Kenyon Royals was born March 1838 in Smith Co., MS and died Jun 1904 in Smith Co., MS. He was the son of Nathan B. Royals and Lucinda Rogers. Elizabeth was last recorded with Rankin on the 1900 Smith Co., MS census. Her exact death date is unknown. Children of Elizabeth and Rankin: 1.
