Bio
Durwood Lee Parker of Princeton, Texas passed away on June 4, 2018 at the age of 75. He was born on June 18, 1942 to Miles Alton and Cora May (Shockey) Parker in McKinney, Texas. Durwood proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Charlotte Marie Stevens in November of 1966 in Durant, Oklahoma. Durwood was the owner of Seafox Painting for over 20 years. He worked for McKinney Schools for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. Durwood delivered for Northside Pharmacy. He was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church in Allen. Durwood is survived by his wife, Charlotte Parker of Princeton; daughters, Nacole Parker and wife, Diane Pace of Richmond, Konda Mehmen and husband, John of Princeton; grandson, Colby Wayne Mehmen of Princeton; and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Bill Parker, Joe Parker and Jerry Parker; his sisters, Betty Johnson and Bobbie Parker. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
